PROJECT TITLE
An Investigation into Coherence Effects on Predictive Processing

INVITATION
You are being asked to take part in a research study. The study is being conducted by Georgia-Ann Carter, a PhD researcher at the School of Informatics and the School of Psychology, Philosophy and Language Sciences, University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Dr Paul Hoffman.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN
You will be presented with three-sentence mini stories, where the first two sentences will be shown in full. The third sentence will be shown word-by-word, controlled through your key presses. Your task is to carefully read all of the mini stories and answer some questions about them.

PARTICIPANTS’ RIGHTS, BENEFITS AND RISKS
You may decide to stop being a part of the research study at any time without explanation and without penalty. There are no known benefits or risks for you in this study.

COST, REIMBURSEMENT AND COMPENSATION
Successful completion and subsequent approval of the experiment will result in monetary compensation as specified on the Prolific advertisement.

CONFIDENTIALITY/ANONYMITY
The data we collect from you will be stored in an anonymous format that cannot be linked with your name or other personal information. For this reason, once you have participated in the study your data cannot be withdrawn.
